Why did Big Brain/Big Head Yacub create white people?

All that superior intellect

Spends it selectively breeding a race of white people over a period of centuries

For no apparent personal gain or societal benefit?

I don’t think it’s meant to describe the divine

I’m just wondering what would be the motivation for an individual with superior intellect (according to some accounts, a second, enormous brain) to devote his unnaturally long life to such a pointless endeavour
