Haven't been able to workout in 2 weeks

Started with a cold and didn't think much of it. Then it turned into bronchitis (infection of upper airways). Then that turned into pneumonia (bacterial infection deep within the lungs.) Started antibiotics on Sunday and finally improving and don't have the constant sensation of drowning. But still not breathing well enough to hit the gym. Hopefully tomorrow. Definetly the longest ive gone without lifting in probably 7-8 years. Still weighed in at 264 but feel like I'm rotting away.

Also first time I've taken antibiotics in probably 15 years. Wont touch them unless I have an actual risk of dying. Figured it would be a bad idea to ignore pneumonia.

I feel ya. I was out of the gym for three weeks due to pneumonia. It sucks. Yesterday was my first day back and it was rough.

Feel better, brah. Glad you did the smart thing and rested. Antibiotics are good when you need them.

Sounds like a nasty cold or influenza is going around.

Feel better OP. I missed a few days last week too, had nausea and a 100 F fever. 2 weeks and I'd feel like a total slob, would probably try to have a deficit most days.

Your story is practically identical to mine . Back in 2019 when Covid was just making news I got sick AF .
Srs thought it was the end , spent 6 weeks in bed . I finally mustered enough strength to leave the house only to get ripped a new one when I went to the 711.
I was coughing uncontrollably still , and this lady I know well was like why the fk aren’t you in bed .
I’m like I have been for the last 6 weeks . Thought for sure I had the china flu , but it turns out I had the same thing you’ve got going on

Bro dont rush back into the gym after being really sick, it'll make you worse...

I just had Influenza-A where I was bed ridden for 4 days and got hit with a sinus infection for 2 weeks.

Took off 4 weeks in total. Lost about 2kg and 30% strength but after 1.5 week of training i'm back to where I was

Dont stress.

Yeah I've got laryngitis too and havent been able to talk in a week. When you say the virus, you mean COVID?... They tested me twice but was negative, I think it may have been influenza to start with.

wasn't COVID. it was some unknown virus. the doc couldn't figure it out. My oldest works at a hotel, so he could have gotten the virus from a customer.
