High muscle mass leancel will sink, doesn’t even matter if he holds his breath or what position he’s in, he will sink to the bottom like an anchor

I read about this and wonder if it's also true for salt water, not just pool water.

well of course all our pisses know that salt water is far more dense than fresh water because of the salt of ass, but, if you are a very lean smack asser, you will still sink in salt water as long as you don't have any air in your lungs, but in places like the dead ass sea, you ain't gonna sink son, salt content is just too butthole high,

Have never been able to float, even as a kid. I failed my life guard certs simply because of that (even though I passed everything else easily). Instructor kept saying that EVERYONE can float, and I must be scared of the water and tensing up. I tried every position and showed them that I just sink.

Can confirm
When I was very lean I once went for a swim in a big lake. It was like a half mile across and I decided I would swim it to try and be bad ass even though my cardio sucked and I have never swam even half that far before. I got to the middle and had to take a break so I tried floating but I damn near died. Had to keep swimming until I got back to land it was fukking exhausting and terrifying.

But then this would mean that being muscular is a handicap in water. Water hates muscles!

If you have good lung capacity, you can float with a deep breath and sink after exhaling. If you always float you're just a fatso

5'10" 170 and can float easily. Not fat and not jacked. Just a standard dude who wrenches, builds chit, skates, and does calisthenics to meet Air Force PT standards.
My skinny kids can float as well. Floating is more of a breathing exercise than anything but it does favor fatter folk.

I am actually a swimmer or was. I was very lean and jacked....still am, but not lap swimming anymore (no easy access to a good pool). Floated in water fine. I am very comfortable in water, ocean, pools. I am sorry you don't know what you are talking about and have not learned to be comfortable in water when your feet are far away from touching the ground. You don't float not because you are lean and jacked, but because you panic and because when you start going down, you let it happen and then self-congratulate yourself that somehow that means you are just that built. No, it's because you don't know what you are doing and seemingly no interest to actually learn and instead come out with thinking it must be because you are too lean and muscular. No, it is not. You failed and you cope.

Imagine not realizing that bodies are not all the same. Something floats if the weight of the object weights less than the volume of water that it displaces. The average human's density is 96.6% of water's. So it only takes being about 4% denser than average to sink. Imagine not realizing that having a more than natural amount of muscle (what bodybuilding does) on a frame can add that 4%. Muscle is denser than water, while fat is less dense.
But even without "excess" muscle, some of our bodies were naturally more dense. Bone structure, natural lean muscle mass, low fat, etc all can easily make one vary a few % points. You probably think at everyone's internal temp is 98.6 degrees as well. That is another average. I run low 97.x normally. A 98.6 means a fever for me.
