UBI pays the bills and goes to everyone, it won't set you apart.

it's actually worse for the lower-class.

this means that everyone basically gets welfare, not just those in need, and people with jobs have a salary on top of it

Not true, people with jobs won't qualify for those UBI benefits. UBI is just a social safety that gaurantees that if you lose your job your basic living needs are met.

So basically, NEETs who don't have families and thus have no incentive to work, can just check out of society and have their basic living needs subsidized by sheep taxpayers.

The collapse is just around the corner . Gen queer doesn’t want anything to do with work it seems, no incentive apparently.

I don't doubt that implementing something like UBI will be anything close to smooth sailing, and a lot of issues and kinks will have to be figured out over the long term, but...

I can't help but think it's a more sensible direction to head in versus the situation we have now where we just create work for the sake of work and have an evergrowing amount of bullchit/nonsense jobs.

Boyo, no offense, but this is a flawed way of thinking. I do agree that a lot of jobs are total bullsh/t and unnecessary. But your objective should be to take those jobs and do NOTHING while leeching off the employer.

Anybody who wants to feel like they've made a positive contribution at their job and to society is a total cuck. Anybody that proudly leeches off their employer is a WINNER.

I disagree; if you ask old-timers who grew up in Soviet times, especially during the 1970s, they would say that quality of life was excellent, everyone could get jobs, food was plentiful, education was stellar etc. However, the Soviet leadership spent a tremendous amount of money to keep up with US in the arms race and their material/financial support of revolutions and communists around the world as well as directly getting involved in the catastrophic Afghanistan conflict on top of trying to quell nationalist and ethnic tensions led to complete economic and structural collapse of the Soviet Union.

Before COVID when I actually had to show up to the office, every employee would do about 1 hour of actual work and spend the rest of the day gossipping and socialzing.

And the managers and execs would fill up their calendars with pointless meetings to pretend like they're actually working.

It's a total joke. That's why I say people who actually want a meaningful job where they make positive contributions to their company and to society are total cucks.
