The only important subjects in school are maths and english.

Everything else is cope and just memorization/brainwashing.

With excellent english and math skills, you can master pretty much anything there after.

Crap like history and science is easy to learn anyway and fun for most people.

Aren't you American? Why do you call it "maths" instead of just math? Isn't it the British who call it "maths" with an s at the end? Also, it's "English" when rereferring to an academic class, not "english". It seemed prudent to bring that up given the thread subject.

In defense of OP, claiming to be a wise "ape" isn't exactly bragging. I mean, maybe he means it that way, but still.

I can understand why you would assume history and science is crap because it might go against certain things you believe in and you have every right to do so...

Just curious about what specifically you disagree with pertaining to history or science?

I'm not one to mock a man's faith however, I do find it nonsensical to even attempt to have a decent conversation with ayoung earth creationist or someone who believes in the flat earth...but yeah ..just wanted to see your opinions on what you consider crap

Science (specifically physics, chemistry and biology) are important and requires an instructor since they aren't that easy to learn IMO

Believe it or not, but prior to my spiritual transformation, I studied and graduated from aSTEM degree at uni. I also love history and constantly read about it. I love ancient history and modern history and everything in between. Doesn't mean that it takes much skill to learn.

BTW I am not a flat earther, although I put quite a bit of trust in God and the bible, simply based on my experience with the spiritual aspects of life. I just have many doubts about 'the science' these days, since putting my faith in it was kinda stupid. Truth is that spirituality is very much a science. In fact in the ancient times, it was a science. Even people like sir Isaac Newton or Nikola Tesla were into it.

Yeah and the hardest parts of those subjects is the mathematics components.

A research methods course is more important than either. Probably the college course I took the most from.

Math and English are too generic to really be that important. Debate and history are incredibly important too.

How are you going to debate or research when your english isn't up to par? I immigrated into an english speaking country at a young age and lived in a low-class area and a low-class lifestyle, so I always had to put more effort into learning the language than other people who would learn from their educated parents and friends.

How are you going to learn about and comprehend history and then deliver your findings to people, if your english sucks balls?

Hence why I made the thread and said that English and Maths are the two most important subjects in school. They should also teach Finance in school. Those three would cover everything that a person needs to get through life. Then they can choose whether or not to learn about history or science. But if that were the case, how would the school system indoctrinate the youth?

Not even complaining though because my modern history teacher from the late 2000s was a racist aussie and taught us modern history pretty accurately.

With AI easily available to kids now, they don't even need to do research or learn how to solve problems anymore.

Unranked universities should be closed and sued for everyone they tried to solicit. Only top 50 global uni ought to stay open. It is 100% not good for anyone for lower ranked schools to “educate” anyone

They all probably make students dumber.

For most people, English classes focus on literary analysis and not learning how to speak the language.

Critical thinking and learning how to separate your biases from a problem and solve it objectively are far more useful than learning about Shakespeares’ usage of foreshadowing, as they can be applied to whatever native language you speak.

Nah the most important skill is good organization and cleanliness.

If you have that skill, it makes learning math and English a lot easier. Math is decent but it’s like the tires in your car. Pretty important part but it’s not everythang.
