They probably gonna get destroyed in a lawsuit.

Tv shows like Cops and Live PD they get the people to sign release forms agreeing to have their arrest/accusation of a crime played on TV. Pretty sure Chris Hansen and Dateline gets their perps to sign release forms to agree to it being televised as well.



You are innocent until proven guilty and convicted in court. And allegations of sex crimes are the sort of thing that can completely ruin your life. I really doubt these youtubers doing this sort of stuff are completely prepared for a legal ****-storm that will eventually come their way. I sure wouldn't want to be a guy who created a video like this then the purp gets assaulted/hurt/killed.


Based on the quality of this video no way this crew can afford good lawyers or to settle with people. Its one thing to be able to toss that dudes family 100K or so to settle out of court and they got their laughs and clicks.... Doubt these boys got that kind of money.

If you publish videos slandering people, accusing them of crimes, etc. you are subject to being sued. If a person can prove monetary loss or that they've suffered as a result. And you lose said lawsuit. You are subject to having to pay out. In the cases with sexual predators most people just want it to be quiet/go away. So it typically doesn't result in a lawsuit. I wouldn't be surprised if Dateline has settled with people and had NDA's signed afterwards.


I actually know a cop that was falsely accused. Not of a sex crime of other things. He was cleared criminally by the state police. Then he filed a lawsuit and it was settled in his favor. Payed off his house and bought a brand new Harley Davidson off the settlement.

Know another brah that sued one of his neighbors over something petty. Cost him 75K, but he bankrupted his neighbor and ruined them financially. He never collected a dime off of them and spent 75K. But he completely fugged them over financially so it was worth it to him.




Criminal law is a lot simpler then dealing with civil lawsuits. People are just lucky that dudes that trawl the internet for under-age folk are typically losers that don't have the financial resources to any retribution.
