If You Have Kids, I Suggest Getting Math Book And Pay Them A Nickel For Right Answers

Edit: first I was thinking one cent per right answer, now I'm thinking 5 cents per answer

Most math books have the answers in the back, you should cut the answers out with scissors and keep it for yourself to review which answers your kid got right.

The order in which you're suppose to learn math is:

Pre-Algebra
Algebra 1
Geometry
Algebra 2
Trigonometry
Calculus

I think if my parents did this for me i would be a math wiz.

What would you recommend the price for right answers?

My parents did something similar for me. My dad did nightly flash cards starting around age 6 and he would introduce me to math concepts a couple years before the school did.

I went on to get a perfect score on the math portion of the SAT, didn't even study.

Being a year or 2 ahead provides a compounding advantage as people perceive you as smarter and you get special treatment (honors classes where you're associating with smarter kids and getting introduced to new concepts, higher self-esteem, teachers pay more attention to you, etc)

I always thought I was a genius as a kid but now I realize how much of it was good parenting.

You think a kid old enough to do pre-algebra or higher is going to be motivated by a reward process that requires them to answer 1,000 math questions correctly just to earn 10 bucks? Are you living in 1978 or something?

I was getting an injection from my nurse and I told him about my idea and he said he might try it with his own kids.
