Rate lunch……(deadlystriker gtfih)

18oz grass fed ribeyes from a local ranch. I get a 1/4 or 1/2 cow from them every year.

24hr sous vide and seared on the blackstone:

I throw the cutting board straight in the middle of the table and everyone eats straight off the cutting board.

Perfect fuel for me, 2yr old son, and pregnant wife.

+1 for not being a *******

7.5 overall
The closer we approach the uncertainty of life's ending the more we wish to trade all of the things we have acquired in exchange for all of the things we have lost: wealth for youth, knowledge for fresh curiosity, resignation for hope. We'd trade our wisdom for new experiences, but it is wisdom that will teach us that at the end of the road the only new experience is death.

I probably should have seared longer. It was really good, but could have seared for another couple of minutes. I’ve never sous vide a steak for that long before. I wanted to be sure I didn’t overcook it, so I chose not to sear it for longer. In hind sight, I should have sous vide about at about 5-10 degrees cooler and seared for slightly longer.

Das it boyo. Would absolutely destroy. Literally the peak of dinner just perfect steak, on the cutting board and enjoying it with family. Doesn't get any better.

Says the cracker barrel cook. You're in every steak thread but the one when I called you out. What a coincidence!

10/10 mirin hard

Every time I look into buying a cow, it’s crazy expensive. Far more than just buying at the store.

Really? It’s WAY less here. It’s basically the same price as ground beef from the store per lb, but you also get a ton of roasts, steaks, etc as well.

That steak is missing something. Needs to be basted in butter or something. Definitely a bit undercooked.

I am not a fan of cooking in plastic especially a cut that doesn’t need it. With that said, I would still try that since the meat inside looks really good and the fat should melt in your mouth like butter.

Either way, ribeye reps.
I probably banged your mom.
