because its way easier for a woman to find another partner than a man. its easy to say "just leave" but he might not get another woman never mind one that will want to marry him again for a long time. so its easier to stay put and say youre still attracted to her even if deep down you arent.

Bruh, look at every married man with kids. Unless he has an active, physical job, he's gonna get fat.

OP, as a married man and a father of 3 kids, I am gonna keep it real. Your wife will gain weight if you knock her up. That’s just reality. Most of it can be lost but her body will never be the same. I know this first hand, my wife was a college athlete and works out regularly. Their bodies just change after having children. She’s lost all the pregnancy weight but this is fact of life.

The second part of this is being a high value male and bringing it everyday yourself. That means being your best in every way. Look great, be great, and have a nice successful career, workout and be healthy. She’ll feel the pressure to keep up, because she knows that if she won’t, there’s a pretty young 22 y/o waiting to swoop in. This keeps her anxious and on her toes. You can’t just expect her to look great and treat you well if you look like sack of potatoes and bring nothing to the table.

Nah. I'd 100% leave. Just like if she stopped having sex. Any self respecting man would.

Would be broke living in an apartment, but my happiness comes first.

Yeah, I'd either leave or get a side piece. Only betas would stay. If it means broke, fuk it. Men survived divorces every day.

My wife is 5'10" 130-135lbs. They don't all get fat.

That's good input man. I see a lot of women that are like 35...started out maybe 130lbs in their 20s. By 35-40 after a few kids they are 180-215lbs -- something like that. Is there something about there hormones or something after kids that would make them 50+ lbs heavier with no way to ever lose it? The women will often throw up having kids did that to them. Isn't it still calories in/calories burned? Some will continue gaining weight. Of course the body positivity stuff women have will tell them they are beautiful at any weight.

well i think the fact is...most miscers that get married will have overweight wives by their 40s or 50s. i think back to being a kid/teen and there weren't many moms i remember that weren't overweight/chubby/obese.

There’s two aspects of this IMO. One is inherent body changes that come with multiple pregnancies. This includes slightly higher body fat/wider hips, and in a lot of cases, saggy abdominals aka mom pouch. This can be attributed to pregnancy and is acceptable if she bore you multiple children. It’s like us getting bald or aging. Inherent changes as we age.

Second aspect is laziness. Most people get very comfy, men and women alike. Being married with young children is pretty stressful honestly. Most people lose their identity and stop taking care of themselves. They let themselves go, men and women alike, and age pretty quickly. Combine this with natural decline in metabolism and lack of activity as we age, and there is significant weight gain. Now, everyone has to cope somehow, so they blame it on pregnancy. But really, it’s just letting themselves go and not prioritizing their health.

Why would your wife getting fat prevent you having sex with women you are attracted to?

My wife got pregnant at 45. She went up to 170ish, but got back down to 130-135. If she can lose the baby weight at that age, there is no excuse.

Why don't you tell us OP. You're married, right?
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

some women will claim they did everything imaginable but with age it was simply impossible for them to lose weight. makes me want to say....let me control your diet and exercise and i guarantee you'll lose weight. they fall back on "it's hormonal"

At my age most of my friends have gotten married or have been married for quite awhile.

Practically all of the people I know that are married are overweight or obese, they come home from their 9 - 5 and sit on the couch until bedtime eating potato chips and drinking pop, I've called people out for it and they always say "I worked all day, I'm hungry, I don't want to do anything else", or they say "you try having x number of kids", and if I point these people out to others and how overweight they are and they usually say " they're not overweight, they're a normal size", being obese has become normalized apparently.

Unfortunately living with my sister I have to deal with people that come to visit her, I can't wait to get my own place and live in solitude, get down to a healthy bodyweight and find a good partner.

I'm not going to lie, I am 29 and I just straight up run out of gas after a 9hr workday + 1hr roundtrip commute. Like even at work, I am done around the hour 6 or 7 mark.

Then if I run back home to a bunch of screaming kids... fukk that.

Can totally get how LDAR catches up to parents.

as people age i see their lives revolving more and more around food. food is like the #1 topic to talk about. they'll be talking about lunch while eating breakfast...dinner while eating lunch....about the next cookout, the food at a wedding, meeting people to eat, some desert place, recipes they saw on tiktok, what they'd like to try, blah blah blah. food is the topic everyone likes, not offensive and not sports or politics.
