feels to me like a lot of women like this are now in a position of knowing they won't have kids or an "official" family by societal standards...so they make extra effort at convincing others AND themselves that they are completely happy. this is why some of them will start using terms like "crotch goblins" to describe kids...it's their brain trying to reassure them they made the right choice.
