IMDb vs Rotten Tomatoes (RT)?

Terminator is epic, but RT has it at 100%. Not sure about that tbh.

IME/IMO RT is chit tier, never liked it.

IMDB is pretty accurate for movies if there are plenty of votes (idk 10k+) but harder to guage for TV shows due to fanboys I think.

For movies on IMDB, Anything from 6-7 is meh but watchable. Anything over a 7 heading towards an 8/10 should be reasonably solid. Anything over an 8 is a solid movie that you will enjoy provided it's a genre that you are ok with.

I literally forgot about that site the moment they banned the forums. Have visited it like 1-2 times ever since this happened which was 2017?

I don't get why they removed it when 50% of their traffic was because of the boards. It is like cutting one of your legs for no reason.

Activists internally would have convinced management that all the racism and bigotry was driving away users.

When I look at the IMDb top 250 and arrange them by 'number of ratings' - it literally lists a bunch of epic movies and I've watched them all.

Even when I arrange by overall rating, i've watched and enjoyed all the movies.

However, whenever I opted towards RT's suggestions, I was disappointed. Their top movies are all lame, whilst the movies I rate are at 40-50%.

Reminds me of some ph4ggot that I worked with who recommended I use TR as it's more accurate - then i thought about him more critically and realised he was an overall ph4ggot.

i never visited it again either after the forums went. it was a great place to read theories and ask questions after watching thought provoking movies

yeah, i dont think there were mods early on. and negative comments/threads on wokeism killed it as they didn't know how to handle it no doubt. backlash etc. that or they were paid by soros types wouldn't surprise me
