Anybody think that most psychology is complete bullsh*t?

Apart from psychological projection that Carl Jung popularised in the west, I think most psychology is complete B.S.

Not sure that I agree with Freud's theories at all about sex and all that crap - it might be a viable observation, but what concerns me is the vantage point from which he observed it?

Who would even think about something the way he thought about? To me it's indicative of a debased and depraved mind.

My honest thoughts are that when it comes to psychology, no one has ever discovered anything more than what the laymen has observed throughout his life, in his encounters with day to day people.

Even when you do identify an issue, you can't just change it by wanting to change it. No one really knows how to change, since it's rooted in spirituality. Only God can help a human's soul heal and for their heart to become purified.

I think it’s similar to nutrition as a field.

It’s chock full of utter bollocks but there bits of wisdom here and there.

Read into Carl Rogers. His chit is more contemporary and pretty good.

Carl Rogers seem pretty cool - nothing to crazy there. It would appear as if I am what he describes as a fully congruent person.

The thing that I think that western psychology is missing, is that a person's inner world can literally affect their outer world - mostly in terms of how their social interactions go, etc. Some people seem to just have it easy and other people seem to attract all sorts of bad stuff brutalising them. Based on everything that I've learned, it's basically impossible to fix the conventional way(s). You basically just have to forgive people for what they do and love even your enemies. Otherwise, it keeps repeating.

I don't see how anyone can do it without putting 110% of their faith into God though - even if you do fix one thing, you'll end up relying on your self and becoming retarded in another way.

Regarding the congruency thing, I suspect that’s your ego talking. Congruency is more like an ongoing practice/effort than an eventual state that you reach/achieve.

Like, would you describe yourself as “fully good”? Prob not. You may consider yourself a good man, on the whole, but I’m sure it’s something you can always improve.

Western psychology is pretty cognisant of the inner world affecting the outer. This is why there’s a fuk ton of self help books that are orientated around positive thinking and changing your beliefs and so forth.

I actually think the flaw of Western psychology is that it’s too optimistic in that regard.

No one is fully good except for God. I am not claiming to be perfect. In fact once I realised and accepted that I wasn't perfect, I stopped expecting perfection from others and stopped hating people. Then my eyes opened to why people are the way they are. Something you simply can't perceive when you're angry or emotional.

I am not trying to brag, because I have been through many trials and tribulations and suffered in ways most people can't imagine, but i can safely say that I am quite happy and content with myself - and I am more effective than ever. Never have I claimed to be all good or even a good person, but I am certainly more pleasant to be around.

I've said this before on here, I am in an enlightened state - I do not feel sadness, greif, depression, or any negative emotions - my mind doesn't over work and i can't even have negative thoughts. I don't question my self, etc, i could go on. I think it's all because I believe in God fully. Mind you, I felt every bad emotion under sun before I got here.

That's true, but I feel those self help books deal mostly with perception - I am talking about something metaphysical here. Either way, I can't see how it can be done without having FULL faiith in God.

Okay.

I wasn’t really talking about goodness so much as I was using it as an analogy for the congruency thing.

Hmm our marketing industry should be an example of just how effective our psychology understanding is.

Just lol if you think the therapists are the cutting edge.

Psychology is just another jew scam and depression is fake and gay. Have a 10/10 hbb hand a poor depressed kunt a cheque for 100k and have her tell him she'll be joining him on a 2 week all expenses paid trip to the maldives. Call the same kunt in 3 days and check how hes feeling. Bet hes not depressed any more.

I'm not perfect and I don't need to be. I follow the laws of God as best as I can. That includes forgiving others and loving my enemies and those who persecute me. If I offend someone by being myself, I don't really care. I can only control how I feel, think and act - only with the aid of Jesus Christ can I do this.

You raise a good point - dark psychology is a thing.

That will work until it doesn't work - not to mention that it's not a viable option for 95% of the world's population.

Not even hating though, i wouldn't say no to a holiday if it was an option that I had.
