Anyone camp alone (outside of camp grounds)

I am going to do a hike that is not possible to do in one day.
So I will need to camp

This is the White Mountains NH

I am a little worried about freaking out during the night with the noises thinking its a bear, moose, mountain lion, crazy people, etc
**Black out tape over all laptop/cell phone cameras so gov cant spy on me fapping crew**

There isn't anything like firing off a chocolate turd rocket in the middle of the woods after your body gets warmed up a bit after 3-4 miles.

I used to go truck camping out in the wilderness when I lived in Tahoe, kinda like this:




Being on your own in the wilderness with no one else around can be kinda scary at first but then really nice.

The quiet out in the middle of nowhere is something else.

One time when I was alone on Kokanee glacier in Valhalla national park (I think) for three days, (except for the therapist who would trudge into my camp spot to talk with me for 20 minutes each day)

Yeah used to do it all the time when I lived in Wyoming. Id go on week long solo backpacking trips. One time I set camp only to notice fresh bear scratches on a tree once it was pitch black lol. Didn't really think too much of it though, just made sure not to have any food in the tent with me.

Id recommend looking up some basic bear safety protocols, like how to store food and stuff. I was more worried about encountering a mother bear on the trail so I tied a bell to my backpack to make noise and not startle a bear. That way they'd here me coming.

Another tip, if you want to start a fire. Dip some cotton balls in Vaseline and put them in a pill bottle. They make for a great light weight fire starter and will burn for a few minutes before burning out. It's light weight and handy.
