Yeah its prettry unfortunate. I'd advocate adding rape, scamming, and simping to Olympic events. That would definitely help Indians get some golds.

Anything else that could be added?

I think that arranged marriage and tons of inbreeding is the reason. This what happens when betas with chit tier Genetics are allowed to procreate going against natural selection. Astronauts in the US are very violent and can beat up 99% of the general population and are great at sports because their procreation is based almost 100% on natural selection.

I think this person provided a good anecdotal experience
I'll tell a brief story of why...

I played semi-pro tennis in north india. Mostly, AITA & ITF but i put my hard work into it but didnt get anywhere because of injuries. Moved to US for BS and started playing there and man, its a crazy difference. Here's why...

In India, when we were training on off days, we always struggled to find a court. Schools wont let us in, even our own... So, we'll sneak into clubs that were expensive for 13-14 year old trying to put in extra effort. We often got kicked out within 30 mins... Even though all courts are available and NOT a single person playing.

In US, all college & school courts are open to public... As long as school is closed. Wheather you wanna play late evening or weekend, doesn't matter. Found out it was the same for basketball, squash, football... All field are open to public after school. Coaches & trainers were another thing. They don't ask for money... "Just come play" attitude. You could be 50 years old and they'll still not ask for money or denied anyone. Just come play.

Back to India, after living in US for 15 years... I am struggling to find open courts to play. Clubs are expensive and I don't earn that much. 2024, and still can't find courts that are free to play.

I hope you understand the common (uncommon) factor here. Comes down to governments pushing laws and making sports facilities available. We could have 2 billion population here but if we dont have proper facilities to play, practice & training... We'll still have zero gold in Olympics.

Even when Indians juice up and look good, they are proportionately smaller than other people.

India doesn't have much inbreeding-Pakistan does, yet they produce better athletes. Look how many great fast bowlers Pakistan have produced, in less time playing international Cricket than India who have mostly produced medium pacers have.
