In a world of toxic masculinity -- what is man; what is a woman?
Went down the rabbit hole of reading about toxic masculinity -- now I'm confused about what it means to be a man or what it means to a woman psychologically speaking. Is the goal to blur the line and erase the concept the gender?

seems feminists and others want to conflate abuse with masculinity and call it toxic

I think the primary characteristic for masculinity is to be a protector - but that can easily be taken too far or twisted into abuse

when liberals and feminists want to talk about toxic masculinity, they know good and damn well what a man is.
when they want to talk about anything else, all of a sudden no one knows what a man is and what a woman is and men can have periods.

Toxic masculinity = any kind of masculinity that curtails sloots from doing whatever they feel like doing.
It's a moving target because sloot feelings are fleeting and fickle. Ask again in ten years and you'll get an entirely different answer.

The closer we approach the uncertainty of life's ending the more we wish to trade all of the things we have acquired in exchange for all of the things we have lost: wealth for youth, knowledge for fresh curiosity, resignation for hope. We'd trade our wisdom for new experiences, but it is wisdom that will teach us that at the end of the road the only new experience is death.

I'm well read on this subject, so I will break it down for you. A man who is toxic earns that label by putting expectations onto his young son to behave in a manner that bolsters the father's ego. Being macho as an adult man is just fine. Expecting your pre-pubescent son to be an extension of your mature masculine ego is toxic.
Here is an example from real life: A man I knew once described how his father broke his arm because he had failed at some ridiculously premature macho task. The father was furious at the little boy for being "weak", and hurt him. Not cool.
There are other ways of being toxic, but this example is a clear, easy to understand example because it doesn't even bring up the concept of gender. The focus is on how a man treats those he is supposed to protect.

A man isn't cruel to children. He isn't disloyal to his friends or his country. He's proud of who he is.
As for the camo hats, I guess that's just a nod to hunters.

Let's start with:

Yes, there's some fringe conditions that muddy the waters a bit, but that sorts out almost everyone.

Manly traits are being strong, stoic, a protector, a provider, a builder, calm, collected, logical, knowledgeable, tenacious, assertive, etc
Male and female are sexes and man and woman are genders
The idea is that you can be born a male but you may have more traits that align with being a woman rather than a man it’s called gender dysphoria so in your head you’re a woman even though you physically are a man
It’s a mental condition

There's no such thing as gender.
There WAS such thing as gender.
Gender was
Male is a man, and he can be 0/10 man or 10/10 man, presenting the greatest attributes of a man to their fullest extent, and that was it
Female is a woman, and she can be 0/10 woman or 10/10 woman, same as above.
But then recently some people connected these 2 so that it goes [(woman 10/10) -- (woman 0/10) (man 0/10) -- (man 10/10)] and sex isn't involved.
And now gender doesn't exist at all.
Because anyone, you me your dad the president, ANYONE can at any moment whenever they feel like it say "I'm a woman now." Or "I'm a man now."
So it's been crushed. It has no limits at all. Its make believe.
It's pretend now. It's like saying "I'm an elf today. Yesterday I was a hobbit. Tomorrow I'll be a Clingon"
It doesn't mean anything at all.
As far as toxic masculinity goes, that doesn't exist. Nothing is toxic about masculinity and masculinity cannot be toxic. There is nothing else other than a peice of sh*t human behaving in a way that they maximize their use of the tools at hand. For males, it's physical violence. For women, it's manipulation. That's it. It isn't toxic masculinity.
Violence is not toxic. Violence is safety and security.
Manipulation is not toxic. Manipulation is the only defense one may have against a violent threat.

But there's definitely a well documented mental illness out there called gender dysphoria you can look it up
