it wasn't bad srs

the reviewers did this movie real dirty, i would say it's a 6/10 maybe 7, I don't think it should be below a 5. Any other brahs seen it yet?

The action scenes were badass too

when he's attacking the opera house and gets stabbed from behind but then shoots himself with a pistol through his stomach to kill the dude behind him was dope af


I'd like to see frank miller/sin city type take on The Crow if they ever remake it again though, for some reason the vibe of The Crow reminds me of Sin City or even V for Vendetta.

It used to be that you could go watch a movie and just enjoy it. Now everything needs to be scrutinized and everyone is a critic. I'm sure I'll watch it in the future, and I'm sure it will be fine.

exactly, the reviews had me thinking it was gonna be some horrible abomination that you couldn't pay attention to because it was so boring, in reality it was pretty decent

It wasn't atrocious but it wasn't good, either. I give it credit for doing its own thing and realising it was never going to top the OG Crow. I think it presented itself as just another adaptation of the original comic and that's decent enough.

It had a gritty and dark amb-ience. That was admirable enough. But the mythos it offered is confusing and very poorly explained. This Crow isn't invulnerable and has to die a few times before getting that power. We don't know much if anything about the bad guys or what their motivation was or who each of them were, individually. Just this fairly nondescript cabal.

The gang from the OG were cool, they all had cool names and some bad guy idiosyncrasy like Tin Tin's knives. Top Dollar was an awesome villain. They had character. No villain in this one did. You felt Brandon Lee's pain and suffering when he came back as the Crow, Skarsgard in this one just doesn't convey the feeling, it's like he just finds himself necromancied for some reason and goes and kills chit.

the bad guys were cool in this one too because the main bad guy had made a deal with the devil and come back from hell or something, and he used humans sinful nature to corrupt them and make them do his bidding and obtain power. Also, he's only invulnerable as long as his love is pure, hence when he starts to doubt he ends up dying but manages to recover himself as he restrengthens his love


I didn't feel as emotional regarding the love story in this one but it wasn't bad just a little more robotic in this one

I didn't really like the movie, it wasn't very good. I think the whole reason it got a cult following was cause the lead dude died on set.
