Yes. It would pay off the house I'm buying, and I'd basically solely have to pay the TI + HOA instead of the whole PITI + HOA, so less than $1k/mo. I'd be saving back so much money for the rest of my life, it'd be insane. And no negative interest (debt) eating away at my net worth. I'd probably be able to retire in less than 10 years.

No but it can change the lives of anyone who knows how to invest it if they are currently poor or middle class.

Most poor and middle class would blow it though so it wouldn't change most of their lives either.

It would mostly just make rich people richer from having a larger pool to take advantage of.

I think the key word is "life changing." A lot of us are in our 30s or older so it's not all that surprising we have a net worth higher than 400K. Now, is 400K still a lot of money? Absolutely. Is it "life changing?" No, not really.
