Pretty beta thing my sister told me about:
She was seeing this guy for a few months, then he completely cuts contact with her out of the blue. I think it turned out that he was seeing someone else, or something. But anyway, after that happened my sister gets big into fitness, ends up competing, does really well and after awhile he messages her on ******** (this was 2 months ago) saying "I've been thinking a lot about you lately and want to say hello. I hate that I treated you the way I did and ruined what we had and the chance to even stay friends". Not too beta, maybe could even be considered as a kind gesture.
Then just this week (after she posted more pics up from her competition) he messages her again (they're not even ******** friends) and says "OMG I never knew you were a fitness buff. You look amazing and fit as a rail. Does this mean you are going to beat me up for the way I treated you? Would you let me take you to _______ (expensive ass restaurant) so we can just talk and make things right so maybe we can at least talk as friends once a month. You are an amazing woman and I am a stupid boy. Just think about it. Hope you had a wonderful thanksgiving". Now we're getting pretty beta buddy.
When she ignored that one he followed up with "Look the truth is all I want for my birthday is to see you. I truly miss you and not for the wrong reasons. Please just accompany me to dinner and lets talk". Full blown beta.
When she ignore that one he messaged her and said that on Friday he is going to this bar that is near my sisters house and he is going "to wait for an hour and hope that she shows up".

I was pretty beta in my first relationship. I remember one time my girlfriend and I were talking on MSN and she mentioned that she was going to make some perogies. Then she came back and was all sad and said she had no butter to make them so she would have to wait until later. I told her I had to go for a while so I logged off. Then .. I got my jogging clothes on and grabbed a stick of butter out of the fridge. I jogged roughly 20km to give her that stick of butter. Also, it was like 4'C that day or something.
