I was accused of abusing a child when I rescued him from drowning. I was swimming on beach and I noticed a 8 or 9 year old kid come off his little surf board and he sunk straight to the bottom, about 10 feet deep. I swam down and rescued the kid and swam him back to the beach.

As soon as I got the child to the beach he was crying and coughing up water, his mother ran down screaming to leave her boy alone. She was screaming at me so loudly that people were crowding around to see what had happened. At this time the life guards turned up and I advised them what happened as I could not talk any sense to the mother. The life guards took the boy and mother to the life guard hut and I went back to my towel on the beach.

One of the life guards came back to me 10 minutes later and ask me to stay where I am because the police have been called and the mother wants to press charges. The cops turned up 20 minutes later and interviewed me and at that time another lady came up to the police and corroborated my story. The cops let me go, no apology from mother who was marching off the beach arguing with the cops after they told her what happened.

If it was not for the other lady I believe I would be sitting in a police cell for rescuing a kid.

My child decided to have a tantrum over something in a department store so I since I didnt want her to get what she wanted or to allow her to tantrum in public I decided to take her back to our car for a timeout. As soon as I get outside the building I notice out of the corner of my eye that Im being followed by a frantic looking woman and I start looking around to figure out whats got her in such a fluster. This allowed me to see all the other women who were following suite, upon me noticing them they half circle in front of me and demand to know where I think Im taking that child.

I honestly didnt know what the **** to think I was so confused by why these people wanted to know what I was doing with my child. This was promptly cleared up by one woman who informed me that I couldnt be the father of that child as I look nothing like her. Now Im a tall and large guy with a big beard and as such I know that I can come across as intimidating so I try and remain calm but it comes out more exasperated since Im realizing these crazy women want to take my child away from me. They whip out their cellphones and start calling the police and I whip out my cell phone and call my wife who was still in the store to come out and help me prove to these women that I was indeed the father and not some crazy child kidnapper/whatever they thought me to be. Eventually my wife comes out and they accept that Im the father and the majority instantly disperses with a couple of stragglers to make sure I dont do something else or whatever justification, one woman audibly describing to the operator what Im doing.

I had honestly never been more terrified in my life at the prospect of just some random gaggle of people demanding I prove genetic connection to my children or else have them taken away from me. The thing that pissed me off even more was the fact that not a single one offered an apology let alone even offered eye contact with me after that.
