Let's be real tea here. Most of the miscers on newmisc were unhinged losers. Same goes with the fireofASS crowed.

The more I think about it the doxxing theory is the only thing which makes sense.

admin was invested in the forum and whatever other flaws he had, he wasn't so thin-skinned as to let people's insults get to him.

Likely he got doxxed or some kind of LEO action was threatened.

If it was technical issues, surely it would have made more sense to leave with something like:
I’m really sorry, guys, but the continuous DDoS attacks and the ongoing cleanup of non-compliant posts have become too much. Newmisc will be taking a break for a while. I will stop Patreon support immediately. I’m genuinely sorry, but to be honest, it has simply become too much work right now.
