nsfw sub forum/content?

whats status of nsfw threads or sub forum? i made thread that follows rules but is was locked and every one said there shuld be separate nsfw forum.

Waaaaaaay back 20+ years ago,on some other board I used, the secret forums had no direct link to them. You had to type in the forum number in thr URL manually, and you had to have 50 posts first to be able to see them.

"f=69" in the URL for the forum number for the nekkidness

Hi Puckers. My apologies for a late reply. Things have been busy at the moment. Let me answer your thread question first and get back to you regarding NSFW section.

Your OnlyFans thread was removed as you linked to collections of copyright material. Allowing such content will only cause issues in the long run, so I prefer not to have it on OB.

no puck understand u are busy and this was not intended original as forum, so am fine with wait. thank u for looking in for nsfw section. can respect removing onlyfans thread, it sucks because lots make requests on newmisc but if it wuld lead to forum possible legal trouble i understand

I’ve clarified the Forum Rules, which you correctly pointed out were ambiguous. At the moment, pornographic or nude content is not allowed.The current setup of OB is such that all content is indexed, searchable, and broadly presented, which is the primary issue I have with the type of content you’re asking about. While it would be possible to create an NSFW section today, that content would still appear in searches, and I don’t want to mix it with the OG Misc. This would require additional consideration and changes to how content is handled.

allfather brah. the last newmisc had a section that was only viewable once you logged in specifically to prevent it from being indexed and appearing like you talked about. worked good.

+1 vote for logged-in only or hidden nsfw section plus good moderation from the crazies

Well Reddit has true NSFW content and that’s not degenerate central. I do worry about optics so thinking about how they can do it without it bringing down the way people think about Reddit as a whole is important here. To me at least haha . Something they do is keep it very hidden and then once you find it you have to opt into it- there’s a warning and then you can go. I don’t know how complicated something like that is but I think that’s the only way imho lol.

Think like the curtain at blockbuster but maybe more than a curtain.

I think segregation would be key here . It exists but separate from the non degenerates

don't make it public. make it logged-in only, and if you need to go one step further, give the section a password or something where only those who request can enter. solved.


it also helps keep some degen misc off of the front page. last misc failed because they didn't prevent the hardcore crazies on the front page with racism and constant attacking everyone. misc will thrive if we at least control that a little bit. nsfw will drive traffic and makes it fun. X and reddit understand that.
