It's somewhat based how lots of guys are not playing the game anymore and opting out.

Work for 30+ years

Most of it during your prime years

Saddle yourself with a mortgage and other "property"

Hence having to work all those years

Provide for a family who likely won't be there for you when you need them most (nursing homes are full of discarded family men)

Lots of guys aren't following that script anymore of what society has told them they "should" be doing

They're perpetually single

A lot aren't even dating or are outright ignoring relationships

Bounce from one job to another with zero loyalty to any employer or emotional investment in a "career"

Just coasting with a "meh, whatever" attitude
