You'll never be surprised or even disappointed if you remember almost every...
...interaction and relationship is transactional
Your job/career only values you for what you produce for them
That's why you have an employee number and productivity goals
Fall short of their desired productivity and your worth to them plummets
Same with a gf or wife
The transaction is how you make her feel and provide for her
Fall below her expectations, even if you were once well above expectations, and she'll start looking for her exit
That's why in divorce the alimony the guy has to pay her is to sustain a lifestyle she was "accustomed to"
Confirms the marriage was a mere transaction that she doesn't want to end until she finds a new man for a new transaction
It's even true for those you don't think it applies to...your parents
The transaction is they raised you under the expectation that you'd be there for them when they got elderly
Once you accept the transactional nature of all relationships you'll never be disappointed or surprised if you get ghosted, replaced, or even betrayed
The transaction was over
You're not innocent in all of this either
You've most likely done it to others
