Fun fact on the Mayflower
Each person was allowed 1 gallon of beer per day, and mostly that is how they stayed hydrated
Apparently this beer was near 3% ABV, which is still kinda crazy lol

Yes beer and wine was their main hydration source but it was very low ABV but it was also natural and fills with nutrients
