I like the campy versions best. The dude fights colorful villains dressed like a bat. It's not meant to be too serious.

I liked the Christian Bale movies. Watched the Robert Patterson one a few months ago and was bored. It was also like 4 hours long.

Christian Bale is the best Batman (and by quite a large margin) tbh.
Batman Begins is my personal pick for best Batman movie ever but The Dark Knight is probably the best ever Batman movie ever made.

Dark Knight trilogy and it's not even close. The Batman movies from the 80s and 90s are trash srs. People only like them out of nostalgia.

Bale is easily the best live action Batman. Dark Knight trilogy is the best incarnation of Batman.
Underrated is Val Kilmer's one off stint as Batman. While the movie wasn't great, but Kilmer was a believable Batman. He was the first guy to play the character that decided maybe he should do some exercises or something.
Affleck was alright in the first movie he was in (bad movie but he was decent), and he's a big enough guy (mostly fat but whateves he's old and the suit/CGI did the rest), but the rest of the movies sucked.
Adam West was fine for what they were doing and given the time period.
The rest fail:
People like Michael Keaton, but I just don't buy him as a guy that can be Batman. The first movie was decent. It set the tone for bringing back the darkness to the character in live action. His second movie was silly.
Pattenson could have been good, but he refused to workout, and in the era when every actor is juiced up it makes his Batman look even worse. I also didn't care for the movie.
Everyone agrees Clooney was the worst to do it.

Actually, the gap between, say, Plato or Nietzsche and the average human is greater than the gap between that chimpanzee and the average human. The realm of the real spirit, the true artist, the saint, the philosopher, is rarely achieved.
