Democrats and Europe - Commonalities

Europe wants to defend Greenland's borders from the US, LMAO - after 10 years of Open Borders Replacement policy allowing anyone in. IMO, the Euro leaders need something to build nationalism and distract from the destruction of their countries via open borders.

This is what the democrats have been trying to do in the US, starting with blue States like Minnesota and California. They fund fake protests to deflect attention from the fraud - the money laundering machine that circles back to fund democrats. Unions and teachers unions funnel money back to the democrats while promoting far left-wing agendas for children. USAID and ActBlue used to.

Immigration is used as a political weapon to import voters. If you remember, Biden was flying in illegal immigrants into the US. Ask Elon.

** If the democrats get back in power, the will open the borders again permanently, creating chaos and anger and possible civil war.

I was making an analogy - not inferring anything about immigration to Greenland.

Would you rather allow China or Russia take Greenland or at least partner with for resources? It is a strategic move based on national security and not some personal matter.

Regarding Greenland,

I can understand the jokes a bit. Small population, dogsleds, EU leadership being shit and pussies for the most part, bad globo homo leadership over here and so on (agree with those), but do you really wanna play might is right with your allies? Potentially send troops to kill your euro brahs and steal their shit?

To me it's mindblowing this is even a thought. Doubt it will happen ofc (hence tariffs etc) but think about what that would mean, beyond this one issue. Destroyed relationship with Europe (or at least part of it) good will gone, Nato gone. Worldwide trust gone. Imagine the economic consquences of that break up and how markets/ppl'swallets could be affected long after, plus the likely shift global power. Desperatation and economic hardships could follow - opening up for more crazy shit as well.

I believe the US is already free to put up as many bases as it wants there. Russia and China taking it has never been a consideration (serious one at least) or even a thought, until Trump brought it up. They'd never invade Nato territory – that is just silly. So obviously, it's about resources.

Many ppl here in Sweden don't seem to truly care much either, but I think it's a matter of principle, and if was active still, I'd consider going to defend against american brahs. How absurd is that? May sound silly, but feel it (Greenland) is part of the scandi sphere and history. Ofc america can take it, but will it be worth it?

Again, I doubt any of this will happen ofc. I am mainly surprised and disappointed at how lightly ppl look at this, and quickly go beyond meming about attacking an ally. Makes me wonder how much certain alliances are really worth then?

Just my thoughts and perspective – no hard feelings towards any here. I've learned to leave that type of stuff behind.

Well, I agree. Buying Greenland would be a massive expense. The States should exert more power to keep up. But, they don't have the political will to.

Can't imagine it would be that expensive vs money printer goes brrrr. If only it had started like that with respectful talks and a serious offer (likely vast oil potential there as well) It's currently likely a cost for Denmark to have/keep/maintain it, and as a Nato member and long time US ally, I think they'd be reasonable and not ever consider looking east.

But when start out as a bully with threats, and trying to bribe locals - that's stupid. Might work on 3rd world countries and on the streets of N.Y but not with countries deep with history and pride.

Don't know much about this lady (she's relatively new), but voted for another and a bit older dude in the same party, when it came to EU elections. Liked his longer experience and how he ran on cutting down on useless spending and stopping more transfer of power to Brussels.

SD is labeled as far right, and they have a a bit of a shady past. It's now the second largest party, and they are the only ones to speak plainly on many issues. Media etc has done everything it could to destroy and slander them for years, but it only made them stronger I think. They have openly published and made clear about their past – a vitbok (white book.) - sort of like a confession and have been quick to get rid of any nutcases.

None of the other parties, who now (and always) act holier than thou have ever done that – despite their actual history of supporting nazis and race theories back then.

SD has taken many voters from the traditional workers party (social democrats) that basically ruled Sweden for a century. I feel that party is now mostly for upper middle class women/Karens working in the public sector, and old ppl living in the past. Plus the imported votes - any muslim areas vote 90% social democrats, so ofc some love open borders.

SD tried for example to arrange meetings with the social democrats to do something about the old and poor – but the social democrats declined to even meet. And when the right got in power and tried make some changes to make it worse for sick ppl, SD put its' foot down and stopped that. Have countless more examples, so just feel they are more for the common and ordinary man, than any of these other ones that claim to be.

I see myself as more of a libertarian/classical liberal – but we don't have much of that here. We never had the same liberal revolutions etc as other european nations, so think ppl are a bit unaware tbh. It's like it went straight from kingship and aristocracy to the social democrats in a way.

One party is coming up that's more libertarian, but only has 0.5 – 1%, and need 4% to get in (2% to be given financial government support), so it's difficult for me to pick what to vote on – on principle and potentially throw the vote away, or more strategically with a decent, but not great option? Election coming up this year, so will be interesting.
