UFC 324

Basic odds:

So, who you got? I still have to think about it a bit. Will put maybe 20 bucks on it just for fun. Leaning towards Paddy though I think – he looked like a welterweight against Chandler there. Should take longer than Chandler (was in 3rd), so maybe a rd 4-5 tko.

Will be fun to watch. Thinking he was great in his time, but feel he's part of an older and sometimes delusional guard. Knocked out, submitted and so on. They always mention his wrestling credentials, but we never see any of it.

He was ready to quit, unless getting a title fight as well, so I worry about that mindset. Now he's up against Paddy with wind in his sail, so looks rough. But you never know - one mistake in this sport and it's over. That's what makes it exciting.

yea i've never seen gaethje actually look good on the ground, but he does seem to have decent take down defense. if he keeps it standing I think he's got the advantage there

plus Trevor wittman is good at exposing peoples flaws

Aye true, but also take a look at how big Paddy is at that weight - it's not everything, but something.

I like both Gaethje and Pimblett but I'd love for Justin to end his career with more Gold.

I see the main card starts at 9. I hope this is true of UFC events going forward. 10pm was way too late.

it also may be they make the card move a little faster since there's no reason to delay in hopes of more ppv buys.

I'm going to sign up for paramount+ instead of pirating just to show support of a step in the right direction

So who you got though? I still have to watch betting vids (we want picks etc - thanks Terz) , look at some stats etc.

Even after all that, I'm still shit at picking winners. But don't care, it's just so fun.

I like gaethje O'Malley but I can't pick em either

I've watched so little UFC the past couple years I don't even know the guy Lewis is fighting

Gaethje looked good against fiziev but paddy is bigger and in his prime. I'd say it goes over 1.5 rounds and paddy might have a cardio advantage in the later rounds.

O'malley is a lock against song yadong. Song doesn't shoot takedowns and o'malley will outstrike him.

I can't get that tony Ferguson fight out of my mind where Tony was supposed to be on the back end of his prime years, and had a huge advantage on the ground and was dangerous on the feet (or that was the narrative at the time anyway). And gaethje just beat the piss out of him and I don't think it ever hit the ground. But that was so long ago.

I just think if you can't strike with gaethje and don't have elite takedown... you're going to lose. Can paddy strike that well? I've been unimpressed but didn't see his last fight

Yea that's why a lot of people are slamming gaethje as the underdog lock! Gaethje is always dangerous, but Paddy has improved his striking and overall game a lot- he disposed Chandler rather easily.

I didn't bet on the main event, but I pretty much got Charles Johnson, Sean O'Malley, Umar, and Gautier lol.
