these kind aren't super nice but ehh...brand new warranty and $75k. less than $1k financed.

would be interesting to rent one's house on a 1 yr lease and force yourself to live in the van. if you don't like it just sell it after that year....with the rental income might break even.

You can’t just park anywhere and live there that’s vagrancy and you’ll get towed and most rv parks cost just as much as decent hotel rooms some even more. I’ve thought about this a lot and I think the only way it really makes sense is if you own land to park it on. I’d buy a rv and buy a few small pieces of land in the places you wanna stay make sure they are in counties where you are allowed to do that.

There’s all kinds of places you can go, at least here. You can camp on federal forest land with a permit (no hook-ups for water or sewer), but it’s cheap as hell and you can be there as long as you’d like.

I’m pretty sure you have to apply way ahead of time and there are limits for how long you can stay Maybe not tho that’s just what I’ve heard

this is what would kill the experience for me. whenever i watch those day in the van life videos, a big chunk of the day is just searching for a place to park ur giant van then find a place to park, wash up, shiet, and eat.

Would be nice as a temporary thing sure, but fuck that long term I like having my own place where I can accumulate literal tons of shit I don't need so I can do dump runs a couple times a year to get rid of it.

But srsly I do like having my own place where I can do whatever I want whenever I want (outside of wage slaving).

When I was young I bought a used van from the company where I worked. Srs I had some great memories with that van . I outfitted it with a stereo , cassette back then and 2 pioneer GM120 amps and 4 6907 6x9 speakers . I made a bed from 2/4 and plywood . I bought this 4” foam for the bed and it was done of the best sleeps I think I ever had .
Was partying at a local campground and ended up smashing this teenage sloot with the most perfect body nature could have possibly engineered.

If I had to live in one I’d have one of those versions from Mercedes where they have the tall roof so you can comfortably stand in it . Wouldn’t have to be overly fancy ,but a decent bathroom would be a must
