Remember the early 2000s when the media was trying to push hood culture?
Did you enjoy it?
Gangster rap was at its highs and nearly every white boy was listening to it. NBA players were all delinquent hoodlums wearing oversized jerseys and baggy shorts. Every major pop song had some gangster rapper in it.
What an awful time for humanity. Every millennial was collectively blacked. It’s why so many harbor autistic levels of empathy for that degenerate culture and community today.

I remember when Hollywood movie makers were trying to push some weird Asian/ghetto cross over movies like Romeo Must Die, Cradle 2 The Grave. Plus Seagal tried to keep his already failing career on the rails by making "cool" movies with hip black guys like DMX and Ja Rule (Exit Wounds, Half Past Dead).

Yes. I was like a backpacker/underground Hip Hop head.
One of the things I miss the most about being young is being able to listen to Hip Hop without feeling like everyone is looking down on me as some loser wigger or whatever. I’m not and the truth is I enjoy the music, at least the creative, high quality 90s east coast style. But the last few years there’s been that external social pressure to abandon it or nobody will like me srs.
