Could you live on $100/day for life after all expenses paid?

Let's say someone makes/comes into enough money to have a basic/safe house and "allowance" of $3,000/month.

Could you live on that? Home paid for/property tax/insurance utilities/health insurance/basic car, etc -- all that paid without dipping into your $3k. You have $3,000/month to eat on, entertainment, alcohol, weed, gym membership....basically whatever else you want to do.

That's ~$100 per day.

I probably used to be able to do that. But now I need more. On a random day could easily drop $40 at the bar, $25 at the movies and $25 eating out somewhere earlier in the day (plus gas to get to these places).

thats true. but to me $100 leaves room where i don't have to worry...if i average $75 just reinvest the rest or save it for a bigger purchase.

people were talking about never retiring so i was thinking about the minimum needed amount and i come up with about 1.5m.

let's say $300k for a basic 2/1 house and $1.2m invested for steady income....might give someone $100+ a day "allowance" to live on.

Is that all I have for extra money? Ever? It sounds easy enough at first but if it’s just 100 a day and that’s all I ever see then it starts getting a bit more complicated.

You might get more later if you live on less and reinvest the remainder for a while.

or if you live on like $500 for 3 weeks you'd have $2,500 to spend the 4th week.

having $100 day spending money with a house/car/all other expenses paid is likely something like top 3-4% on earth.

Why would I want to cut how much I have to spend after expenses in half?
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

not saying would you want to....just if you could live relatively happily.

btw -- what are you buying that runs you on average $300/day?

Yeah I don’t think it would work. It seems like a decent amount of money when it comes to extra money but I don’t think it accounts for everything in my life that I like doing.

I don't spend 3k a month on food and entertainment now so yeah it would be easy

Most people saying no are probably thinking of every day being a vacation but most retired people just sit around and watch tv

I could live on less but if I had any kind of money I wouldn’t sit on cash I’d invest it because the gov will absolutely eat up your savings with hyperinflation

Not much but there’s some months that I spend a lot. I still have to use some of that $100 a day on necessities right? I have kids btw .

Edit- not to mention, I feel like I live kind of close to what you’re proposing and I’m definitely not doing things I want to do due to everything but some things pop up that cost a lot. Like I just had to pay thousands on something that definitely isn’t a normal expense . So things like that

well let's say the $100/day isn't used for one off expenses like a car repair or fixing an HVAC.

I would like to take my kids to Disney, travel a couple times a year to different countries, get my hair done professionally, buy nice clothes for myself, think about something that costs money and do it if I want?, I’d love to hire a housekeeper- anything to make my life easier, nutritionist, oh god I’d love to get Botox, the miracle face lift, breast lift? Implants lol? Whatever I want? I could think of tons of ways to spend money
