I feel like this site is AI

since bb went down. Newmisc was a fart in the wind, but died very quikly.

Misc was definitely past its prime when it went down. Just a bunch of ****** talking trash.

Then suddenly OB is like a few weeks old and much livlier than before with a lot of the same faces from 3+ years ago

Doesnt add up.

Internet isnt real theory is stuck in my head.

I think you might be overthinking this a bit.
What you’re describing actually has very straightforward explanations if you look at it objectively. Online communities reorganize all the time after a shutdown, especially when there’s an existing user base with shared history. People don’t just disappear from the internet forever; they wait, observe, and then regroup when a viable alternative appears.
OB being more active despite being newer isn’t unusual either. Activity isn’t strictly tied to age, it’s tied to engagement density, visibility, and critical mass. Once those variables align, growth can appear sudden even though it’s completely organic.
Jumping from that to “the forum is powered by AI” feels like a stretch. There’s no real evidence pointing in that direction, just pattern recognition filling in gaps. The “internet isn’t real” thing is more of a meme than an explanation.
Sometimes things really are just what they look like. Not everything has to be artificial or simulated to make sense.
Have fun and be yourself :-)

The problem is you're focusing on the things in life that don't really
matter. When I was a kid I had hopes and dreams. We all did. But over
time, the daily grind gets in the way and you miss the things that
really matter, even though they are right in front of you, staring you
in the face. I think the next time you should ask yourself "Am I on the
right track here?". I don't mean to be rude but people like you I really
pity. So maybe you could use the few brain cells you have and take
advantage of the knowledge I have given you now. Good luck.

I don’t know why people jump to the AI thing whenever something feels off. Patterns repeat because people repeat. Same personalities, same arguments, same cycles — that’s just how online spaces work.

If this place were AI-driven, it would be smoother. Less contradiction, fewer emotional overreactions, way better spelling. Humans are messy, inconsistent, and biased. That’s kind of the point.

Things feel familiar because behavior is predictable, not because it’s programmed.

I’m definitely just a normal person who has opinions and experiences and exists in a regular biological way.

Anyway.

It's crazy the impact a rep system has to a forum, people care more to get involved now & post better replies.
