Anyone else discontinue calf training?
Calf raises feel kind of pointless sometimes tbh. Especially if you run with a forefoot strike. You are getting plenty of calf stimulation indirectly. Instead of doing calf raises, can just do sprints for 15-20 minutes. Kill two bird with one stone. Cardio improves

You need to hit them from two different angles with intensity and they will grow - one standing, one seated. Everyone does more than one curl variant for arms, then decides little or no calf work is necessary. You've got the soleus and gastrocnemius; both need to be stimulated

I run and jump rope and let me tell you, running doesn't hit the calves hard at all. Jumping rope wrecks them though. That being said, I have no idea if the wrecking from jumping rope causes growth because that's not my objective.

I've always had giant calves so I never had to train them. I'm guessing mostly genetics cause I was skinny AF growing up. Maybe skateboarding helped or sports Idk

Never started direct calf training. I always had big calves and it's not important for aesthetics (as long as they're not tiny) or strength so I never bothered with training them.
Going hiking will make your calves burn a lot more than doing some momentum reps on a calf raise machine.
