First direct talk about screwing with midterms.

Trump wants to nationalize elections rather than have the states in charge of them:

How do people feel about it?

There is supposed to be a system of checks and balances, but after what has come out about Fulton county that clearly is not in place.

Fulton county is just exactly what any place that has those demographics in charge of anything. Right now they are screaming racism and playing the victim saying they are being targeted.

The problem is not with states running their elections. The problem is that some states are letting rogue counties break their own rules and doing nothing about it.

In fulton county there were over 10k votes from people that died prior to the election. There were 300k votes that did not having the chain of custody required by law in georgia. There were thousands of votes from tabulation machines that don't actually exist. I could go on and on.

Kemp told the officials in fulton country to address this, as well as his SOS. They just ignored him.

The rest of georgia followed the election laws passed by the state legislature in georgia. One didn't, and no one did anything about it. How do you address that? I honestly don't know. Other than going full ancap which Americans are far too cucked to even consider.

There can still be federal oversight of states to be sure they aren't breaking their own rules without federalizing elections.

There seems to be a couple of problems with that though. One, the investigations don't live up to the hype, but I also get the sense the feds don't want to look too hard for fear it'll paint both parties as equally corrupt.

If it was up to me we'd go more states rights. Return to federal elections being done by state reps rather than a direct vote. But everything is so fucked at this point who even cares. Democrats want illegals to vote and republicans are okay with that as long as lindsay graham can go to kiev to make out with his favorite twink. It was a good run but the tour is over.

Pretty sure I agree. We put far too much importance into the presidency and making him a celebrity, we'd be better off not being involved. It would solve so many problems.

It's quite disturbing Canadians are worried about America's midterm elections. Time to turn off the computer and get some fresh air maybe...

Well, truthfully the stupidity going on below us does affect us somewhat. It would be great to have a rational leader at the helm so we could all benefit from it, but you guys managed to elect a doddering retard - after you already elected another doddering retard.

Yes, I'm sure Canada would love to benefit even more from us. I understand why you are so interested now...

The whole world would love to have access to the massive amount of consumers you provide. Too bad your president pissed off 80% of the world and they are all now trading with each other. That should help the GDP.

That's cool that 80% of the world is trading with each other now. All they need is a new country for everybody to sponge off now. How about Canada volunteer it's tax payers money to fund the worldwide government corruption of it's citizens all in the name of "financial aid"...
