Vivek names his daughter "Savithri". Why do Indians do this to their US born kids?

I just don't get it. If your kid is born in the USA, you're putting him at a gigantic disadvantage in life from the start by naming him an Indian name instead of "Tom" or "Henry" or "Nick"​With an Indian name, a kid will always have to correct people on the pronunciation of their name and how to spell it. It will get annoying super fast. Two, an Indian name will always be treated like an outsider and a foreigner as opposed to a kid named "Tom". Three, jobs do discriminate against 3rd world names. I just don't get why Indians do this to their kids. Their kids life would be 100x easier if they just gave them American names yet across the board Indians don't do this. Not even Vivek Ramaswamy, who is supposed to be this uber Republican personI myself changed my legal middle name to an American name and now exclusively go by that name. I now certainly get taken more seriously than I did in High School.

His dad is a billionaire and presidential candidate. His first name could be "Dogshit" and he'd still get hired.

I think every community has faults. The Black community has a fault of committing the vast majority of crimes. The Asian community has an issue of worshipping whites and their women exclusively going for Whites. Latinos have a issue of illegal immigration. But I can't lie : Indians have a massive issue assimilating, even worse than Muslims at this point. There is no reason for Vivek to name his kid Savithri when he's running as a Republican

Black people have DEI quotas. Indians have nepotism. Both groups will be just fine even if they name their kid StreetShitTavious.

He’s given his kid an Indian name so that he will fit in with the majority of other US citizens named ranjeet, rajpreet and mandeep

Also his resume will go to the top of the pile for jobs in tech or politics


Aside from the name “solomon (solly)” or Ariel, Yitzaak it’s probably a dominant strategy.
