Warlock. It's like a necro + druid + paladin put together

Only a quarter of the way thru act 1 for now but so far it's fun as hell srs

The way he holds his weapon is cool as fuark. Also just found a new item "old book". Instead of a shield u hold a book. It's sick as fuark

It also just dropped on Steam so i'm playing on steam deck. Wish I had a PC to play it properly but it's still fun

Finally got around to playing it again and got to hell. Pretty fun character, I've played a shitton of d2 but don't think i've ever did a full run from start to finish without being rushed/buying gear

The character is rly funny. Its like a mix of a bunch of other characters. Like u can hold a two-handed weapon with a shield like how u can do with a barb. My build is using the skill echoing strike which is kinda like a amazon throwing javelins but with a two handed weapon and u dont run out of quantity. You can summon a bodyguard like a druid can. There is this skill where u can "bind" a demon and basically make any enemy ur personal demon (excluding act bosses). You can also go with an elemental build which kinda looks similar to a druid fire build. Pretty strong build as far as offensive but i would say it's pretty fragile. Weak life/res. Didnt have much problem early game but I die fairly often in hell rn.

yep I still play. Have a 95 warlock that does 130k damage with ebotd war pike and phoenix shield, and merc with pride runeword for concentration aura. The bound demon is Hephasto with fana aura that can practically solo Diablo clone himself and is not possible for him to die. Extremely broken character that can do 100k+ more damage than any other character right out of the gate, but it’s to sell copies before they tweak him a bit. I’m just glad they finally added stackable runes, gems, and a materials tab.

Yea they will prob nerf bind demon in the next update. Idk how all the dmg stuff multiples with end game gear but i'm level 75 with gear i just picked up thru the game and only do bout 6k dmg. It's good enuff to kill and get thru the game but nothing too special. I just bind Hephasto or the smith and use him to tank and kill. Not sure on the exact numbers but warlock is one of the more fragile characters, if not the most fragile. I die way more often than anything else i've played

Later on you’ll kill stuff before it even becomes a problem. I pumped most of my points into strength with this build. Once I got to 2k hp I put everything into strength. Also the lethargy sigil helps out a lot to keep you safe and also do more damage to enemies.

Love how they're keeping Diablo 2 going and figuring out a way to keep it feeling fresh.
