Went in with absolutely shit tier expectations of them showing anything worthwhile apart from all gaas, but I'm pleasantly surprised. A lot of good looking games and surprises on there.


Super excited for Kena pt 2 which looks amazing. MGS 4 finally getting released from PS3 Prison. God of War trilogy remake is a dream come true, hopefully which is more in line with the older games and not an over the shoulder view. Just a lot of cool stuff and new surprises.


I'm also surprised at how good most of the games looked. It seems like we've finally turned the corner and this gen is starting to show more graphical prowess as well.



Hope to god some of those exclusives are day one pc tho lol. Give me god of war remakes on day one pc istg.

Sons of Sparta is fun, pretty good cast, the attacks, magic, and the dodging, parrying, defending overall is tight for a side scroller. With the god of war tv series coming the franchise is set for years to come!

There is some cool stuff here for sure. I knew a MGS volume 2 was going to release, that was obvious, but it's nice to know MGS4 will finally be playable outside of the PS3 and I hope they fix some of the issues it was known for like the unskippable cutscenes. Marathon looks awful, I think the free2play FPS scene has hit hard times lately and this just looks like more corporate slop to me. The GOW trilogy looks cool though, and I say that as someone who has not been a fan of the most recent games in that franchise, those are the good GOW games IMO and I'll be picking that up. There's some other stuff here I'll be keeping my eye on as well.

I don't think this is going to be a remake, these "Volume" collection MGS games are just remasters. MGS1 actually had a remake way back in the day on the Gamecube, MGS Twin Snakes. It's probably one of the earliest examples of a remake I can think of, especially when it comes to 3D games. The MGS3 remake was it's own full-priced solo release, MGS3 Delta, the version of the game in volume 1 is just a remaster of the original. I always wanted them to release Twin Snakes outside of Gamecube but I doubt that is ever going to happen, there's some weird company politics that seems to prevent that from happening.

Correct. The MGS4 release won't be a remake. It's just a port to modern systems with some enhanced features like they've already done for the first 3 games.

I'm looking forward to it because MGS4 has only ever been on PS3 and I've never had a PS3.

I have definitely been disappointed with first party gaming all around lately. Even Nintendo has been very hit and miss this gen, but at least they still come out with some essential bangers. Xbox is just a complete disaster, I think Forza Horizon is the only redeeming franchise they have had this entire generation and it's become a multiplat franchise.

All the price increases, especially this late into the generation is just really lame. I remember how only after a couple years the prices of consoles would come down notably, feels like an aging console would usually only cost $150 back in the day. Now it's like if you want a new console you are going to be spending at least a grand by the time you get the console, a few accessories and a game or two. It's gotta be brutal for kids because I know it wasn't easy for me to save up or convince my parents to buy something expensive.

Yup. Gen X and millennial gamers know what's up. I bet most zoomers aren't even aware of how things were, they must simply normalize this new modern pricing where nothing goes down in price, everything only goes up.
