There is no saving this world. There is saving for the soul

The people who lived in the 1930s would be... unfathomably shocked and desperate to get the chance to live in the kind of world we live in today. I dont think someone who has a shriveled leg from polio and pock mark scars all over their face from childhood cowpox would freak out about having to see a tranny at a cash register once or twice a month in exchange for the chance to ride in a car instead of walking through 5 miles of mud to get to their job digging the Erie canal by hand.

Whoever runs the world, people really don't appreciate how much better it is than what it used to be. The choice to always take an overtly negative view and whine about juice is an enormous waste of opportunity. The world has gotten continuously better, and yes there have been tradeoffs, but there are huge positives to be grateful for. That's kind of the irony of claiming the juice run the world and then complaining about it. The world has gotten a lot better.

Would you rather be a monk at Lindesfahrn when the Vikings showed up, and everyone got to see what your head would look like on a STICK? Or maybe you'd wanna be in Puritan New England so you could be burned alive at the stake because people believed you were a literal WITCH. How pleasant. Or maybe you'd feel comfortable stuck without a morsel in the Irish Potato Famine. There weren't any juice in these places.

I think I'll take a world with grocery stores and credit cards and financed automobiles and an internet full of barenaked ladies.
