My trip to NYC-
So I didn’t stay in NYC I stayed in NJ because hotels were expensive AF and if they were cheap in NYC I would have been sus.
Hotel I stayed in was OK- seemed clean, free garage parking which is always a plus.
I went to a show with a few bands- pretty fun. Before the show I went to a thrift store to buy second hand clothes for cheap
But guess what?
That’s not true. Thrifting in NYC is not second hand clothes that are cheap af. It’s like fast fashion that is very expensive. I bought 3 items for $110 with a $55 skirt being the most expensive :( I didn’t want to seem like a newbie so I just paid for the stuff rather than refusing like my heart wanted.
Next I parked in a parking garage that made me feel like I was in that episode of Seinfeld.
They really wanted to know when I’d be back for it and when I showed up I didn’t see it in the garage- they had to find it and they made me leave the keys so they could like move it around.
I felt certain they were using it to uber or for escorts lol. There was men in suits so this was very sus.
Next day I was like hmm I want some tiramisu so I went to a real Italian joint and ordered a sandwich from what I can only assume was a mafia owned establishment.
The sandwich had prosciutto some mozzarella and like banana peppers but not- they were red. The tiramisu was delicious. I wept

If it wasn't valet why would you leave your keys for some random dudes to take your car?

Some good places to eat there but otherwise....its a shithole.
I loathe every second I spend there if I have to go for some reason.

It was fun. I was bringing my son to visit his dad so it’s a little bit of sadness too but I go back on Saturday. I’m gonna go to that Italian joint again. I didn’t know it at the time but they have quite a little following on instagram.

I wept
