Why don't we bird skeletons more often?

Why don't we *see bird skeletons more often?

Tons of birds flying around constantly. Where's the carcases, fellas? They die all the time. Relatively short lifespans. But only a couple times in my life have I ever stumbled across a dead bird out in the wild. Where are they. Squirrels too.

Because BIRDS AREN'T REAL!!! THEY ARE DRONES THE GOVERNMENT USES TO SPY ON US!!! WAKE UP!!!11 but in all seriousness generally cats or other small animals like racoons, skunks and so on eat them. Also it's part of their survival instinct to hide when sick or injured to avoid predators.  #TheMoreYouKNow

I saw a dead bird in my yard a few weeks ago. It was relatively fresh it didn't stink yet so I tried to give it to the stray cats and they are so picky they didn't want it

I feed the stray cats chicken scraps given them the bones and they eat the cartilage and into the bone ends which shrinks down then bone a lot then the ants come and eat out all the bone marrow so even the chicken bones are half the size of when I threw them out and now hollow. If you step on them they get pulverized since they're hollow and dried out and brittle

I could imagine for smaller birds once ants eat every off and inside the bone it's going to just blend in with the grass.
