Would you expect this item to increase or decrease in value over the next 10-20 years





My theory is once boomers die off all these items will drop like a rock. other generations don't value physical objects like they do. clutter.



also other generations just cant afford stuff like boomers could

Yeah it's sort of like how some classic car markets are going to drop like a rock, especially the factory original muscle car market. Nobody besides boomers wants to have some old car exactly how it was in the 1960's, they have zero nostalgic connection to that era when those cars were new.

Similar deal with other boomer interests. Old guitars like old cars will retain a collectors market due to the fact of how they genuinely don't like em like they used to with their old stuff having an appeal of it's own, but the values aren't going to be crazy inflated like they got under the boomers as they are only going to appeal to a niche group of special interest collectors in the future. There is just far too much of this stuff out there to have it sustain current values with a much smaller crowd that's interested.

I think all collectibles peak when the people that wanted them become mature adults and can afford to collect them, they also stall out when that generation gets too old or dies. For example 60-70s muscle cars seem to have stalled because the people that lusted for them are dying or needing to sell them because they’re too old to drive them. The cars people are wanting now are 80-2000s cars because those people wanted them when they were younger and can just now afford to collect them.

I was recently looking at old school Firebirds from the 80's and 90's for sale online that are way overpricced for what they are. Beautiful lines but most of those old V8 engines made like 170 horsepower and wore out really fast. No thank you.

That specific car is one of the few cars I like in white. That and a 65-66 Shelby 350. Something about the white and blue.

yep. Also one of reasons Harley Davidson is dying. Millenials and gen Z have no nostalgia or emotional connection to the brand. I remember the motorcycle brehs of my generation rode them Kawasaki ninjas
