I'll let me 8yr old see some action scenes from monster movies, or action flicks but nothing with blood or gore. I've let her watch the parts of Jaws on the boat at the end but no one getting eaten, same thing on godzilla movies. I showed her a clip of robocop the original and after explaining to her how he became robocop she begged me to let her see the part where he gets shot up. I've seen that part before but have a hard time watching it and seeing people take joy in torturing another human.
