Just got my Yearly Raise
Up from 163k to 167K. BOOH YEAH! Just to think 5 years ago I was making 55k and got left by a sloot after 3 years bc she didn't see a future with me bc she made more than me and thought I couldn't provide anything. All this after she chased me for an entire year wanting to date me while having 100s of dudes on OLD wanting to be with her. Hehe my indifference drove her insane. Working at the same job and she only got hired for some sales job paying 2x as much bc she was a hot girl. I was trying my best and applying but got nothing. Took some guy in the industry I work in sticking his neck out for me and giving me a layup to his former boss that hired me.
Sloot is now 39 and a few months away from being 40. Still not married and no kids and that was her dream. Good riddance and lol.
My first job as a college graduate I made 29k a year. I wanted to rope and ask wtf did I waste my time at college? 3 years later up to 33k (lol). Then 45k. Then 55k. And just like that I'm at 167k. Feels good to know that life works out if you're smart, a likeable guy, and make connections with people that like you and will help you if you ask.
You mirin brahs unless you're Oliver rolling in million dollar sales, or the fire fighters MMY bangs that earn more?

Just for advice don't listen to every coworker you work with. Treat them all like potential wives and make sure you trust the ones that will never backstab you no matter what, and want to see you succeed.
When I first started making 55k, the partner I was supposed to work with had mentally checked out and hated the job. He got fired. About 2 weeks later he texted me to ask "hanging in there man?" All I could do was rant that I had nobody to show me a damn thing, and had teams of people expecting me to a ton of shit I had no clue about and my boss just quit on top of it and I'm left high and dry. He took those screen shots to try and file a lawsuit against the company for wrongful termination. I got called into management asking "wtf are these messages about, we're always here for you (lol yeah right)." It took the dude that ended up recommending me years later to have my company say call him maybe he can help. He was pissed off for me and said just set up a call and I'll take care of this. Chewed everybody on the phone out and told them stop bitching bc I'm not making a dollar on this I'm here bc Imnew1 was dragged to the wolves and I wanna know what I need to do.
After that he and I sort of goofed off via chat and talked shit at each other about fishing and he gave me hell about my ex. Also gave me great life advice and stories of his ex-wife trying to take him to court for more alimony 15 years later bc he had improved his life so drastically salary wise. A female judge of all things laughed it out of the court.
When he asked me why I ever wondered why he recommended me what did I think was the reason, I just said "I dunno I guess you figured I was smart and could learn and do the job and you wanted to see a young guy succeed." He said "NO. YOU EARNED IT. I know exactly what you make at that prior job, and have dealt with so many people that have came through there that were your age that I wanted to guide and none of them had any ambition or wanted to listen to me. They didn't want to learn or grow, but meanwhile you were open to anything I wanted to teach you about the job you were going to do that I was doing and made my life easier. YOU EARNED IT. NOW DON'T MAKE ME LOOK LIKE AN IDIOT!"

Congratulations. Srs, vry srs.
But isn't this a simple COLA? If so, only poors consider COLA's as "yearly raises." You have a respectful salary so I wouldn't consider you a poor.

I dunno man, sometimes my job is a pain in the ass, sometimes it's free and easy. To supplement my time when it's easy I gamble on golf.

Just another dumb fuck LARPer.
You’re best to not dignify that piece of shit with a serious response.
Congratulations on your raise.
