China will be fine, they have been aggressively stockpiling oil for their strategic reserves for a long time now. I'm pretty sure at this point it's widely accepted that they have the largest stockpile of any country, and they'll still have continuous oil coming from Russia and Saudi Arabia (prob will increase now)

As far as Iran, that's still up in the air if China truly loses that supply source or not in the long term. If Trump/Israel can't succeed in regime change, then eventually the missile strikes will have to stop, and the U.S/Israel sign a ceasefire. Trump/Israel will claim "victory", but really the current regime stays in place, and they'll just resume where they left off with China

at the moment, no tankers are passing through the strait. its frozen. A few oil tankers were hit with drones, and that's all Iran really needs to do to shut it down. Iran doesn't actually need a navy to shut down the strait. Remember what the houthis did? they shut down the Red Sea and had all those cargo ships rerouting all the way around Africa, they did that with simple drones. Insurance wont touch any cargo shipping going through the Strait because of that.

Why would the Russian navy or the Chinese navy send their ships to the strait? To do what exactly?




They did this to a couple of tankers, and insurance companies are already cancelling policies, which means the strait is closed





As you can see in real time, the ships have all just anchored on both sides, nobody is really passing through the strait right now.
