Not a funny subject for me. My dad has had Parkinson's for about 4 years now. I guess he's stage 1-2 at most. It's changed his personality big time. He's not interested in doing anything anymore, and it doesn't seem to really even effect him outside of his hand shaking noticeably more at rest. Dopamine receptors not firing right is what causes it, so I get it but it's painful to watch his personality change so much.

Dunno, alzheimers, als, cancer, are all far worse than Parkinsons. For the most part, Parkinsons is slowly progressive and not fatal. Typically people don't even reach stage 4 Parkinson's for more than 20 years and most people are diagnosed age 65+. By the time they're bed ridden, they're probably mid 80s to pushing 90. Clearly not all cases, but the majority.

My family has a history of Parkinsons on my mothers side, gf has Alzheimers on both sides of hers - gonna be an interesting future if we both make it all the way...

He takes it to sleep, bc without it he wakes up with the top of his toes and feet cramping which can last all night (part of the neurons not firing correctl.)
I’ve seen those weed videos where it looks like a miracle but it’s not. It just can ease and help a little. The only thing I’ve seen that can give your a better quality of life but also not a cure if it gets that debilitating is deep brain stimulation surgery.
