I hope i don't crash on my motorcycle. Im unfortunately too poor to afford a sports car. I could get a C5 Corvette but then I'd still have to make payments.

Be careful man. My friend almost died last year from a motorcycle accident. He wasn’t riding recklessly either. Just got unlucky, hit a pothole and went flying 30 feet across the street. He was out of work with multiple broken bones for 6 months and still needs another surgery for his ACL. Bikes are badass, my dad and his friends all used to ride when I was growing up, so I look up to that subculture in a way, but IMO it’s not worth the constant risk to your life.

Everybody talks about the accidents, nobody talks about the man or woman who rode 40 years with no spills.

Not to be a Debbie downer, but I know of all kinds of people who dieded on street bikes . The most recent unfortunately was a former supervisor who lived in the Nelson BC area .
Ken had just retired and was in the process of moving into a new forever home that just had built . He went to visit his daughter in Alberta and was struck by a truck that didn’t see him . He dieded instantly.

In my case I have ridden a few street bikes, but mainly kept bike riding to dirt bikes . On a dirt bike I was always body armoured to the teeth , and chances are if had an accident I was probably at fault .
On a street bike you are far too vulnerable, and it doesn’t end well

Back in the 70’s I went to high school with a guy that dieded on a street bike . Way too early to lose your life

Even when I had gaps with "no" medical insurance inbetween jobs i bought cheap high deductible insurance aka catastrophic insurance. I think my deductible was like 5k or something. This guy is a fraud. muh 100k medical bills. hes probably blew all his TV earnings on coke and hookers and now wants a cash grab to buy more coke and hookers after his 15 minutes of fame are gone.

I know people who've been riding for decades and never had an accident.

Motorcycles attract a lot of dumb people. Either speeders or people who aren't proactive or both.

I know two people who dieded from head ons when pickups pulled out to pass directly in front of them at the last second because they didn’t see them coming . Absolutely fk all you could do in that situation

Ride like everyone is out to kill you. It's been documented that drivers can pull out in front of you, yet riders still never seem to heed warning. Slow down, weave, flash your brights to make sure they see you. What you said isnt anything new, two vehicle accidents involving a motorcycle typically happens at intersections where a vehicle pulls out.

You rarely hear about motorcycle cops dying. They have a higher chance than cars but since they are so good, its rare.
