How come movies were better in the 2000s than now?

Why were they better despite the advances in tech now. Movies across the whole 2000s from early to mid to late were much better than what they make now in modern day.

Why?
Oh Wow!

Hollywood writers no longer write to entertain. They write to impress their peers with how progressive they are. And podcasts killed the comedy movies. Comedians no longer work with the goal of getting on SNL or getting a movie made. They make money with podcasts. They plug their shows and get paid through ad-reads. They don't have to aspire to more.

Miscers were better in the 2000s too
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

The advances in tech are a big part of the problem. Digital film makes movies look flat and sterile, and more advanced CGI lets the studios crank out capesh!t.

Politics. Back when they simply made the best movies they could, now everything needs to revolve around agenda.

Aside from bad writing and over-the-top wokeness, the rise of streaming and death of video stores has played a huge part in this. Hollywood can no longer recoup money lost on box office gambles via video rentals so it’s just the same sludge over and over as they try and play it safe.

Does anyone still torrent movies? I haven't really done it since I was studying lol. Streaming services have their positives but one of their one major downfalls is their catalogue is not as extensive nor as stable (movies and series get removed every so often) as the good old 'seven seas'.

This is part of it,

But how come no one has yet mentioned lack of creativity? Hollywood doesn't have the same creativity anymore.

Technology advancement is not a real function that has one output ....it has many outputs that span from good to terrible...therefore is not a real function.

Not just movies, but even front cover artwork as well. Movie front covers now are boring. Lets look at shit from the old days and shit from the 2020s.
