It’s great for blood sugar and focus for me. I’m a type 1 diabetic and I fast until 2-3 pm and my A1C has been improving drastically. I’d imagine fasting improves and keeps stable blood sugar for non-diabetics as well

is a1c the best test for blood sugar? I haven't had mine tested in years but suspect something is a little off there for me.

I’d say so. It measures your average blood sugar over the last 3 months. Better than just a finger prick that just measures it at that moment.

I fast daily 20-22 hrs...been doing it for over 12 yrs now. 3-4x a year I do a 5 day fast. Not sure about health but I'm not on any type of meds and I have no aches, no pains or any type of issues/injuries, etc... Not sure if it's because of fasting or I'm just lucky...

I've never had a big appetite. I felt it was easier compared to eating all day when I wasn't even hungry. I don't think people need as much food as they think they do. I think there are some articles out there about older women who are better off using IF, compared to eating numerous meals/snacks through the day.

If I don't eat breakfast, by 11am my blood sugar drops and I feel like I'm about to pass out.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

IF is OK but i would not recommend it too people mainly because people fast then start binging on slop and think its OK.

No. I have tried but I really need food. I get dizzy and don’t feel good at all when I don’t eat. I need to function through the day. I get really low blood sugar and my blood pressure runs low and I’ll start getting bad panic attacks if I feel weird.

Mine stays in range most of the time but I have to constantly monitor it in case it does that. Low blood sugar feels shitty so I’ll eat something if I get even close to a low

I do potassium caps, shots of pickle juice and sip on zero cal gatorade if/when needed.

So you do one-meal-a-day (OMAD)? How many calories do you eat per day? Are you still, as in this year or next, competing in bodybuilding?

I keep trying to fast 4-5 hours after waking up, but end up eating something light 2-3 hours after I wake. That's even after I have my coffee...I don't know how some people can fast for multiple days.

but if you fast 20-22 hours, you would eat a meal, wait a 2-4 hours, then eat the other one? Do you get keto or "hungry" breath at all?
