We need a rep reset

reps are meaningless unless we all start at 0. dead srs.

i admire miscers who had epic reps before, gjdm you made it, you are all ceo 10k/dayers, but if some of us have 200,000 reps and others have 50, im not sure reps matter. so if your gut reaction is to protect your reps, realize they dont really matter in a weird half ancient system.


time to wipe the slate clean. maybe admin can find an admin given badge only he can implement that records your reps? take a badge that logs it and records it, start fresh

It's all relative. The actual problem with a large distribution of rep counts is that neggers (;D) can keep low reppers in the red irrespective of post quality. To make it fair, simply make negs have 1/10th the impact of reps.

I remember the old days when a rep power of 2K was good, and 5k was like full on baller.

Then years later the system kinda got out of control with so many miscers in the 500k to 10 milly range.

I actually preferred the rep free system that old misc used.

I can verify the stolen accounts. I've been here longer than most, on and off since 2005. I've forgotten passwords and started new accounts. On the old misc, I was shocked to see my own past usernames revived. Some are still posting today.
