Both Drugstore Cowboy (1989) & Spun (2002) are FAR better than Requiem for a Dream.

Drugstore Cowboy is the best drug movie ever made. Definitely a top five favorite of mine. Well ahead of its time. It's a must watch for everyone here who hasn't seen it. Spun is fantastic as well. Certainly a wild one. Tremendous rewatch value. And greatly superior to the depressing, teenage-targeted 'edginess' of Requiem. Check them both out if you haven't already, fellas.

Drugstore Cowboy was a great flick.

If you're looking for a tweaker drug flick, don't forget The Salton Sea with Val Kilmer.
