Survival Mode and Marriage
Interesting take- relationship expert says a healthy marriage is a business relationship between two people with a shared purpose. When he is asked about the current focus on a romantic ideal vs. a shared purpose he replies that people are in survival mode.

I watched this a few days ago. This is so good and it's worth the entire listen/watch. The quiet disorganized at 13.00 dang...immediately thought of my mom...

It’s always easier to view outsiders who only do fun things without responsibility. That’s why cheaters idealize each other while scapegoating their legitimate marriage

I've been saying that for years. Marriage is like a business. Anyone that goes into marriage thinking it's gonna be like a Disney movie is gonna end up like Eddie Haskell.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.
